ITL Accompanies Compassion Books To Bring Knowledge To The Young Generation Of Vietnam

Recently, the US Library of Congress announced the esteemed winners and honorees of the 2023 Literacy Awards. Compassion Books from Vietnam have earned the distinguished accolade in the Successful Practice Honorees category. This recognition is a testament to their unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of reading and lifelong learning, thus nurturing a generation of compassionate and knowledgeable global citizens.​

Starting from 2018, ITL Corporation is honored to accompany Compassion Books in organizing the Green Seeds program to donate books to schools in different regions of Vietnam. The program aims to ignite a love for reading books and cultivate the reading culture for today’s generations of students.

Over the past six years, ITL has organized 12 “Green Seeds” programs in 11 provinces and cities across Vietnam and Cambodia. The program has provided 424 bookcases with 10,600 high-quality books to schools in Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Ha Tinh, Ben Tre, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Tien Giang, and Son La in Vietnam, and Mundulkiri province in Cambodia.​

In addition to donating books, ITL has also presented the scholarships and health insurance for primary, secondary and high school students who study well with difficult circumstances. ITL gifts for children do not stop at material value, but more importantly, ITL cares and shares with the young generation of Vietnam.

In particular, the Green Seeds program has been implemented and accompanied by Prof. Kishore Mahbubani – Authority on Asia & Global Affairs. As a special guest speaker in ITL Lecture program organized in March 2023, Professor Kishore Mahbubani sponsored for the Green Seeds program and expected to contribute to spreading the kindness supporting for Vietnamese young generation.

In the coming period, ITL will continue to accompany the Compassion Books to continue donating books to schools nationwide. This meaningful activity is one of the important goals in ITL CSR program, joining hands with the community in order to grow the young generation of Vietnam.

As of now, Compassion Books has orchestrated the creation of an extensive network of 19,681 bookcases, stocked with more than 1.1 million books, in over 3,000 schools and communities. It has opened doors to libraries and quality books for more than 2.2 million readers across 60 out of 63 provinces in Vietnam and one province in Laos.
