ITL Corporation Joins Hands In Humanitarian Support After Earthquake In Sagaing, Myanmar

ITL News

On March 28th, 2025, at 12:50 PM, a powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck the Sagaing Region of Myanmar, with its epicenter located near Mandalay, the country’s second-largest city. The disaster caused widespread devastation, particularly in the areas close to the rupture zone. The earthquake claimed the lives of 5,352 people, injured 11,404, and left hundreds more missing. Communities across the region were deeply affected, facing immense challenges in the aftermath.

In response to the urgent situation, through ITL Sharing program, ITL Corporation called for support from ITL team with the hope of helping colleagues and the people of Myanmar overcome loss, recover from damage, and stabilize their lives. The total donation amounted to USD 15,000, equivalent to VND 390 million or MMK 65.7 million, raised through the contributions of ITL’s Management, employees and the ITL CSR Fund.

Demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility and solidarity with the people of Myanmar, ITL has mobilized resources and made financial contributions to five key organizations actively engaged in humanitarian aid, through the coordination of ITL Myanmar to ensure the highest efficiency in helping the people in need, including:

  1. Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS):  USD 6,850
  2. Myanmar International Freight Forwarder Association (MIFFA):   USD 1,142
  3. Myanmar Young Entrepreneur Association (MYEA):    USD 4,566
  4. Shin Chann (Metta Yeik) Orphanage Charity Center:  USD 1,300
  5. Home Again Myanmar (Ma Wuttyi – Sharing & Caring): USD 1,142

On behalf of ITL Corporation, ITL Myanmar team has worked closely with these organizations to ensure that the aid would reach those most in need.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every individual who has contributed to this cause. While our support may represent only a small part of the broader recovery effort, we firmly believe that these contributions will help alleviate the suffering of those impacted and reflect the core values of ITL – always reaching out to the community with corporate responsibility and compassion.

ITL extends its heartfelt wishes to the people of Myanmar, hoping that the country and affected communities will overcome this difficult time, recover from the disaster, and return to stability. At the same time, we sincerely thank the relentless efforts of ITL Myanmar team — true representatives of ITL’s spirit of sharing and community responsibility — who have helped spread compassion and timely support in this time of need.
