[ITL Expert] Mr. Luke Linh – Branch Director Of ITL Freight Management Hanoi
ITL FM North is prioritizing the implementation of an integrated digital platform to manage the entire Logistics services. Using a single platform simplifies the order tracking process, increases control and provides a better service experience for customers.”
The Northern region is considered an international trade gateway connecting the China–ASEAN economic corridors and Northeast Asian markets. In your opinion, which infrastructure factors, policies, or supply chain shifts will create breakthroughs for Logistics growth in this region over the next five years?
Infrastructure is emerging as a key driver in the development of supply chains in the North. The extensive expressway network enables efficient connections between provinces and major industrial zones. The Lach Huyen deep-water seaport, with existing terminals and new terminals, will further enhance cargo throughput and international capacity. The Lach Huyen deep-water port cluster, with several new terminals already operational or soon to be, will further enhance customs clearance capacity and international connectivity. In addition to the Nanning – Yen Vien cross-border railway, the government is accelerating the Lao Cai – Hai Phong route to strengthen trade with China. The investment in Gia Binh airport will also expand the region’s international air connectivity.
In terms of policy, the government is prioritizing investment attraction in high-tech industries and value-added products, thereby fostering the development of industrial zones, Logistics centers, and warehousing systems.
At the same time, the production shift trend under the “China plus one” strategy is creating a competitive advantage for Vietnam, especially the Northern region, in becoming a crucial link in the global supply chain.
These factors will help the North affirm its role as an international Logistics gateway, contributing to the sustainable economic growth of both the country and the region.
