Closing Ceremony Of Free Eye Surgeries Bringing Light Back To 660 Poor Patients
On February 19th, 2022, ITL Corporation and HCMC Sponsoring Association For Poor Patients held the Closing Ceremony Of Free Eye Surgeries Bringing Light Back To 660 Poor Patients in Tay Nam Eye Hospital and participated by the representatives of ITL Corporation including Mr. Zulkifli Baharudin - Chairman; Mr. Simon Thuc - Deputy General Director, VP Human Resources; Ms. May Van - Head of MarCom, other members of ITL Corporation and the representatives of HCMC Sponsoring Association For Poor Patients including Mr. Tran Thanh Long – Chairman, other members of the Association and the poor patients supported with free eye surgeries.

Previously, in December 2021, ITL donated 2 billion and 50 million VND to HCMC Sponsoring Association For Poor Patients, of which, ITL contributed 1.5 billion VND to support 150 orphans due to Covid-19 with difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Ben Anh - our CEO donated 500 million VND and Mr. Dang Doan Kien - VP Investment donated 50 million VND supporting for Free Eye Surgeries of 660 Poor Patients across the country.
After more than 1 month (Starting from January 13th, 2022), 660 poor patients from many provinces across the country such as Long An, Binh Thuan, An Giang, Ca Mau, Ben Tre, Dak Lak,… have been supported by ITL with the entire cost of eye surgeries to have light back. In addition to supporting for eye surgeries, the company also presented the gifts of necessities to bring more joy to the poor patients.

Mr. Zulkifli Baharudin - Chairman of ITL Corporation sent his thanks to HCMC Sponsoring Association For Poor Patients and Tây Nam Eye Hospital for coordinating to organize this meaningful activity. He also sent his best wishes to the poor patients and wishing them to get well soon to return to the normal life.
He shared: “We are very honored and desire to contribute the meaningful CSR activities towards the community. We really appreciate and hope that you will accept our heart and hope that what we give to you as well as what ITL receives from you will be the precious gift for both sides". He also wanted ITL team to continue to learn good lessons to implement and support the community better. At the same time, he also prayed for everyone to have good health, overcome difficulties, and achieve success in the coming time.
Mr. Simon Thuc - Deputy General Director, VP Human Resources of ITL Corporation said: “ITL has implemented lot of CSR activities, after the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided to continue implementing more activities to support the community, such as helping the orphans due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and providing free eye surgeries for the poor patients,...Not only making our efforts in the business activities, but ITL will also continue to make our efforts to implement the CSR activities to share and make the community and the society better".
At the event, Mr. Tran Thanh Long, the representative of HCMC Sponsoring Association For Poor Patients presented the certificates of merit to ITL Corporation, to Mr. Ben Anh - our CEO and to Mr. Dang Doan Kien - VP Investment to honor our contributions to the poor people and orphans due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the last period.

Participating in the program, some poor patients receiving the free eye surgeries felt touched and expressed their excitement when they had the opportunities to have light back thanks to the help and supports from ITL and HCMC Sponsoring Association For Poor Patients. Hopefully, those supports from ITL and the Association will bring some good results, helping the poor patients to have light back and return to the normal life.

In 2022, ITL will continue to implement the construction of many bridges and other meaningful activities for people in the Southwest to support people to live conveniently and contribute to the social-economic development of the localities. These activities also aim to bring ITL’s good values to the community and demonstrate the social responsibility of a leading Logistics enterprise in Vietnam and the region
